The Orange County Transportation Authority unveiled the vehicles that will carry Aliso Viejo passengers on the new OC Flex microtransit pilot program launching this month.
The shuttles are an on-demand service that will take passengers curb-to-curb within the two designated zones – one in Aliso Viejo, Mission Viejo and Laguna Niguel and the other in north Orange County.
The service is scheduled to launch in the Aliso Viejo zone on October 20.
Riders can hop aboard for $4.50 when using the OC Flex Mobile app or pay $5 cash on board. A pass gives customers unlimited daily rides in the zone and on any OC Bus fixed route for the day. Riders ages 13 and older can use the service. Kids under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
The vehicles are accessible to wheelchair passengers and will operate seven days a week.
