Bridge access reduced to one-way indefinitely

The AWMA Road bridge at the entrance of the Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park will continue to be reduced to one-way traffic indefinitely.Only motorists entering AWMA from Alicia Parkway in Laguna Niguel can travel over the bridge.  The street is closed in Aliso Viejo to traffic entering from Knollwood, a street that leads to Wood Canyon Elementary School and the Community Roots Academy from Wood Canyon Drive to the west.

Signs remain posted around the privately owned bridge to help alert motorists of the restricted access.  The one-way access began last week and comes as the South County Waste Water Authority transfers control of the bridge to the County of Orange.

See the attached map for more information. Updated information will be available by calling the South Orange County Waste Water Authority at 949-234-5400.
