State of the City spotlights this ‘Vibrant Viejo’

Mayor Bill Phillips takes residents on an educational yet entertaining tour of Aliso Viejo in his “A Vibrant Viejo” State of the City video.
The video, which premiered October 15 during the annual State of the City event at the Aliso Viejo Conference Center, received rousing applause. Infusing personality, Mayor Phillips covers some of Aliso Viejo’s accomplishments over this past year.  The video showcases different segments of this special City and demonstrates community building and vibrancy.
“I am proud of what Aliso Viejo has become,” Mayor Phillips said.  “I am proud of the partnerships we have built; the outstanding businesses here; and the wonderful people of this community.  Thank you all for making Aliso Viejo – ‘A Vibrant Viejo.'”

The evening, which attracted several civic, City and business leaders and residents, also included the recognition of the City’s 2015 Senior, Youth and Citizen of the Year.  The honors went to Stacy McWatters as Senior of the Year; Travis Mooney as Youth of the Year; and Heidi Stoops as Citizen of the Year.
