OCTA proposing to reduce bus service

Faced with declining bus ridership, the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) is proposing to reduce bus service throughout the county, which could impact some bus routes that serve Aliso Viejo.

OCTA has developed a 2016 Draft Bus Service Plan (available here) that is designed to reverse ridership declines and increase ridership.

For Aliso Viejo, this means the elimination of routes 87 and 187 in October of next year.  (See the routes here.) Routes 89, 90 and 490 will remain.

OCTA has set public meetings to give residents the chance to weigh in. Click here for details.
