Iglesia Park is getting an extensive makeover with new soccer and ball fields as part of a City project meant to improve the community.
The ball field reconditioning project at Iglesia Park began in mid-November and is expected to be finished by the end of the year. The $195,000 improvement project includes re-grading, irrigation, new dirt infield, dugout enhancements and new sod outfield. The field will be reopened to the public in mid-February after the new sod is established.
Located on the northern tip of Aliso Viejo, Iglesia Park is a City-owned park that includes the Iglesia Park Community Center, which houses the Aliso Viejo Family Resource Center and Boys & Girls Club.
