City of Aliso Viejo’s New Food Scrap Recycling Starts This Fall

In an effort to benefit the environment, the City Aliso Viejo is rolling out a new Residential Organic Recycling Program this fall.

Beginning September 1, residents can include food waste with their organic green waste, and the City’s hauler (CR&R) will pick up the waste and transfer it to a facility for organics recycling. Diverting organics away from landfills helps reduce methane emissions.
