Crime Prevention

Crime Prevention is a component of Aliso Viejo Police Services, implementing proactive community-oriented police programs such as Neighborhood Watch and Business Watch. Child safety programs, including bicycle rodeos, Walk-to-School Day events and fingerprinting are other beneficial services offered to the Aliso Viejo community.

Neighborhood Watch

Aliso Viejo Police Services and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department strongly encourage Aliso Viejo residents to participate in Neighborhood Watch. Business Watch

Vacation Home Check

This free service provides a physical check of your residence to ensure your home remains secure while you are away on vacation. For additional information, call (949) 425-2564 or you may fill out the Vacation Home Check Form and email it to Brett Gardner at or fax it to (949) 425-3889.

Child Safety

Police Volunteer Program

The City of Aliso Viejo’s Police Assistance Liaison Services (PALS) is a volunteer program for mature adults over the age of 21.  The volunteers are assigned operational and administrative duties normally performed by uniformed officers.  This support gives deputies more time to concentrate on law enforcement related functions.  Get more information by visiting Police Volunteer Program.
