The Community Services Department coordinates and conducts annual City special events such as Founder’s Day Fair at the Aliso Viejo Ranch in October and Snow Fest at Grand Park in January.
Founder’s Day Fair is a down-home community celebration that pays homage to the City’s founders and all who make Aliso Viejo the special and unique city it is.
Aliso Viejo’s Grand Park is transformed into a winter wonderland each year for Snow Fest, a community event that attracts residents of all ages who enjoy sledding down the Polar Slide and Bunny Slope; and a special snow lot for the little ones.
The Veterans Day Program recognizes local veterans and active duty members of the military who live, work or own a business within the City of Aliso Viejo.
The City partners with the Aliso Viejo Foundation to host the annual “Community Cup” Golf Tournament in June. Proceeds from the golf tournament support the scholarship program and the Boys and Girls Club youth and teen program in Aliso Viejo.
The annual document shredding and identity theft protection event takes place in May. Aliso Viejo residents and businesses can bring their paper records/documents in a standard size file box or paper grocery bag to the event, which features shredding trucks on site to shred your documents at no cost while you watch! Staff is on site each event handing out pamphlets and answering questions regarding identity theft.
In addition to partnering with the Aliso Viejo Foundation, the City also partners with the Aliso Viejo Community Association (AVCA) and other organizations in many community events that benefit residents and help to build community spirit.
