The mission of the Aliso Viejo Family Resource Center is to empower people living in the City to obtain the resources they need to enable their children to mature into well-educated, healthy and self-sufficient adults.
The Family Resource Center offers valuable resources to the community and various workshops throughout the year, including the following:
·Pet & Vet Clinic – Low-cost vaccination for dogs and cats, micro-chipping and dog licensing is available during these events. The next clinic is from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on August 3, 2013 at the Iglesia Park Community Center, located at 24671 Via Iglesia. To view flyer click here.
·Tax Day Program – Tax Filing Workshops are held in February for low-income families. For more information, call (949) 425-2550. To view flyer, click here.·Literacy Program – The Aliso Viejo Children’s Librarian hosts a reading program on the third Thursday of each month.
·Read for the Record program – A national effort to set a new world’s record for the largest number of children and adults reading the same story on the same day takes place in October.
·Foster & Kinship Care Education Program – An annual program that provides training to foster parents, social workers and the general public.
The Aliso Viejo Family Resource Center is located at the Iglesia Community Center, 24671 Via Iglesia, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656. It is one of several Family Resource Centers throughout Orange County and is open to Aliso Viejo residents.
