Following the United States Flag Code, Boy Scout Troop 700 will lead their second annual official American flag retirement ceremony on Thursday, June 14 at 7 p.m. at Fire Station # 57 (corner of Pacific Park & Journey).  A reception will be held after the ceremony. Both of these events are free and open to the public.

If you have an American flag that is tattered, faded, or torn, the U.S. Flag Code states that it should be cleaned, mended, or "destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning." The Boy Scout Troop 700 will pay homage and perform a proper disposal of your non-servicable flag(s).  You can drop them off at City Hall (12 Journey, Suite 100), attention: Gracie Duran or contact Boy Scout Troop 700 Scoutmaster Chris Souza at 949-584-5584 or e-mail committee@alisoviejo700.mytroop.us to make removal arrangements.
